Donna Redmond Gates

Donna Redmond Gates, ICD.D, is a strategic advisor to some of the region's top businesses and non-profits. She helped grow Bonfire Communications into one of New Brunswick's most respected marketing agencies. Bonfire was acquired in 2022, and she currently has her own Governance consulting practice.

She is active in her community and serves as Governance Chair of Horizon Health Network, Board member of the YMCA, South Western New Brunswick and as Commissioner of the Local Governance Commission of New Brunswick. She is the former Vice Chair of Port Saint John, where she served as a Director for nine years.

In 2022, Donna was named one of Atlantic Canada's Top 25 Most Powerful Women in Business by Atlantic Progress Magazine. In 2024 she was the Atlantic Honouree of BMO's annual Women on Boards event.

Donna was born in St. John’s, NL, raised in Halifax and now lives in Quispamsis, NB.
