Kaye Melliship

Kaye has had a long career in housing policy, land use planning, real estate development and managing affordable rental housing. Under her leadership the Greater Victoria Housing Society doubled in size to provide nearly 1000 homes for low to moderate income households. Prior to this, Kaye was an Assistant Deputy Minister in the Government of BC and has provided consulting services to local government and non-profit housing organizations.

Her career has been complimented by governance positions with major affordable housing and land development corporations at the provincial and national level including BC Housing Management Commission, Canada Lands Company Limited, Canadian Housing and Renewal Association, BC Non-Profit Housing Association and the Planning Institute of BC. Her experience at a local level includes appointments to the Tofino Housing Corporation and Rent Smart BC.
