Kaye Melliship

Kaye has had a long career inhousing policy, land use planning, real estate development and managingaffordable rental housing.  Under herleadership the Greater Victoria Housing Society doubled in size to providenearly 1000 homes for low to moderate income households. Prior to this, Kaye wasan Assistant Deputy Minister in the Government of BC and has providedconsulting services to local government and non-profit housing organizations.

Her career has beencomplimented by governance positions with major affordable housing and landdevelopment corporations at the provincial and national level including BCHousing Management Commission, Canada Lands Company Limited, Canadian Housingand Renewal Association, BC Non-Profit Housing Association and the PlanningInstitute of BC. Her experience at a local level includes appointments to theTofino Housing Corporation and Rent Smart BC.
